Minutes:

Councillor Ian Brookfield spoke about the current situation regarding Covid-19 in light of the latest infection rates being reported nationally, regionally and locally and on the Government’s announcement regarding the imposition of further national restrictions.  He reported that it was likely many parts of the country would have to impose further local restrictions. Whilst Wolverhampton’s cases were rising the City was not in the same situation as those parts of the country, but it was close.  To save the City from getting into that position of having to impose further restrictions we all need to act now.  He asked that everyone practice social distancing, continue to wash their hands regularly, wear a face covering in enclosed public spaces, and look after themselves.

Councillor Ian Brookfield presented the Relighting Our City plan for approval and recommendation to Full Council. It outlined the City of Wolverhampton Council's commitment to continue to work with partners to support the City to live with and recover from Covid-19.
