To confirmed increased rates to be implemented for providers.

Confirmed the actual hourly rates from 2 April 2018 for providers of domiciliary care, direct payments, residential and nursing placements, extra care supported living and residential provision for people under 65 years with complex needs.

Finalisation of legal documents

1.   Approved the final documents to implement the financial support package detailed in the report based on assurances received from the Director of Finance and the Director of Governance.

2.   Authorised the Director of Governance to execute the legal documents detailed in the report.

On 7 February 2017, Cabinet (Resources) Panel authorised officers to enter into negotiations to acquire properties to assemble the site for the City Learning Quarter, and also delegated authority to the Cabinet Member for City Economy in consultation with the Strategic Director Place, Director of Finance and Director of Governance to acquire individual properties as part of the assembly of sites for the City Learning Quarter, within the budget approved by Full Council.

This report seeks authority to purchase the car park at St George’s Parade. It details associated costs with these acquisitions in assembling the land required.

Approved the purchase of the car park on the corner of Bilston Street and George’s Parade as part of the ongoing land assembly required to enable the City Learning Quarter.

1.      That the Pay Policy Statement for 2018 – 2019 be approved.

2.      That publication of the Pay Policy Statement by 31 March 2018 be approved in line with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.

1.     That the action plan arising from the community governance review in 2017, be approved subject to the comments of the Special Advisory Group being taken on board.

2.     That the citywide community governance review 2017 be formally closed and the action plan arising from it be delivered.

1.     That the Wolverhampton Homes Annual Delivery Plan 2018 – 2019 be approved.

2.     That the five-yearly review of Wolverhampton Homes that had been undertaken by the Managing Director and Director of Finance of the Council be endorsed.

1. That the honour of Freedom of the City be bestowed to Steve Bull MBE and Beverley Knight MBE in recognition of their eminent services to the City of Wolverhampton and public relations.

2. That arrangements be made in due course to celebrate the honour.

1. That the position of Honorary Recorder of the City of Wolverhampton be created.

2. That His Honour Judge James Burbidge QC be appointed as the first Honorary Recorder of the City of Wolverhampton.

3. That thereafter the title of Honorary Recorder of the City of Wolverhampton shall pass automatically to the Senior Residing Judge of Wolverhampton Crown Court upon their appointment by the Lord Chief Justice.
