29/11/2023 - Supply of Seven Crew Cab Tippers ref: 8917    Recommendations Approved

CWC require replacement of the current fleet of seven hired diesel-powered crew cab tippers operated by Environmental and Countryside Services. The new vehicles will be like for like replacements and more environmentally friendly than the older vehicles.

Local Authorities have a duty to collect unpaid Penalty Charge Notices (PCN’s). City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC) was part of a consortium of local authorities taking part in this procurement. The other authority is Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (DMBC) who were the lead authority on this procurement.

1.    Approved the award of contract for Lot (3) Enforcement Agents for the Collection of Penalty Charge Notices (PCN’s) to both Newlyn PLC of Century House, Wargrave Road, Henley-On-Thames, Oxfordshire, England, RG9 2LT and Bristow and Sutor of Bartleet Road, Washford, Redditch B98 0FL for a period of five (5) years commencing 1 December 2023 to the 30 November 2028. This contract is at no cost to the Council and has an estimated value of £1,050,000 to the suppliers. The contract will be an equal split between both Newlyn PLC and Bristow and Sutor.
