Approval to Award Call-off Contract for Pre-paid Financial Services (PFS)

In 2015 PLT approved the award of a two-year contract to Pre-paid Financial Services (PFS), utilising the Surrey Framework, to supply the Council with pre-payment cards that were to be used as the payment mechanism for customers receiving Personal Budgets by Direct Payments from the Council and as the payment solution for customers who the Council have appointeeship responsibility for.

Since 2015 two further projects, Care Leavers and Individual Service Funds, have been implemented using PFS pre-paid card accounts. A third project for Section 17 Children Act payments is being explored.

With the original two-year contract coming to an end, it is necessary to seek approval for a further call-off contract for a period of 2 years with the option for a further 2 annual extensions under the original Surrey Framework terms and conditions.
