Purpose:

On 20 February 2018, Cabinet granted delegated authority to the Cabinet Member for City Economy and Cabinet Member for Resources in consultation with the Director of Regeneration and Director of Finance to approval terms for lettings with occupiers related to the i9 scheme.

This report seeks authority for the Council to enter into Legal Agreements with two companies to take leases to occupy space in i9 as follows: the letting of floors 3 and 4 to West Midland Pension Fund and the letting of 7,750 sq. ft of the 2nd floor to Local Government Pension Scheme Central Ltd.

Decision:

1.     Entered into agreement between the Council and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government in respect of a lease for commercial floor space at i9 based on the agreed terms outlined in the report.

2.     Entered into agreement between the Council and West Midlands Pension Fund in respect of a lease for commercial floor space at i9 based on the agreed terms outlined in the report.

3.     Entered into agreements between the Council and LGPS Central Limited in respect of a lease for commercial floor space at i9 based on the agreed terms outlined in the report.

4.     Entered into any ancillary agreements as required to facilitate these organisations occupying floorspace at i9 based on the terms outlined in the report.
