Purpose:

to support up to 200 sole traders and micro businesses with financial, digital, product, service and market reviews; on going 121 support, and 12 months of FSB or Chamber membership

Decision:

1.     Approved the allocation and distribution of £150,000 for the Relight Business Programme (which will assist up to 200 micro and small businesses that do not normally access business support) from the £5.3 million Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG).

2.     Approved the Council entering into an Agreement for Bulk Purchase of Memberships with the National Federation of Self Employed and Small Businesses Limited (FSB). These are via an exemption process and have a budget of £50,000.

3.     Approved the procurement and appointment of Consultants to deliver the Financial Health checks (£60,000 budget) and the Digital Awareness Reviews (£30,000 budget), funded through the grant. These are via a 3 quote process with 5 companies invited to tender for each, and the financial checks also having an exemption.
