Southside Markets update
[To report on progress with the markets relocation project and to consider the budgetary implications following the tender process for the delivery of the scheme]
Decision:
1. That the release of the capital budget (as detailed in the capital programme which was agreed by Full Council on 19 July 2017) for the markets relocation scheme be approved.
2. That it be noted that the reporting required to increase the budget headroom has impacted on the delivery programme for the markets relocation and a new deadline for completion of January 2018 has now been established.

Cllr Steve Evans presented the report on progress with the project to relocate Wolverhampton Market from its existing position at Market Square to the Snow Hill site in the Southside area of the City. He particularly reported on the budgetary implications of the project following the tender process and the timeline for delivery of the scheme.
