Purpose of the consultation
Purpose of the consultation - To gain views on the proposals to introduce a charge for the Corporate Appointeeship Service
This consultation runs to Sunday 24th March 2019.
You are invited to have your say in a public consultation about the City of Wolverhampton Council proposals to introduce a charge for the Corporate Appointeeship Service. The proposals are set out in the leaflet.
The City of Wolverhampton Council offer an Appointeeship service for individuals who are in receipt of benefits and are unable to manage their own finances and where there is no other person able to offer this support to them.
We are proposing a standard fee to be paid from the individuals benefit payments as follows:
£5.00 per week for individuals living in the community
£3.00 per week for individuals residing in a care home.
However, these charges will only be applied where the individual has a balance of more than £1,000.
You can complete the comments form or if you prefer, you can send your comments direct to the team.
The results of the consultation will be considered and proposals reviewed before any final decisions are made about whether to introduce a charge.
