CWC requires urgent replacement of its fleet
of 24 passenger carrying fleet vehicles operated by its Travel
Unit. The current fleet of 24 vehicles has gone beyond its life
expectancy and is in urgent need of replacement.
In addition to the immediate purchase requirement of 24 vehicles, a
further 15 vehicles may be purchased in the future. These
additional purchases will be dependent on the outcome of service
reviews that are currently underway. CWC will advertise this
additional requirement now so as not to have to undertake and
repeat this procurement exercise should the additional vehicles be
required and subject to capital budget funding be available.
The replacement vehicles are required to provide suitable assisted
transport for passengers with special educational needs and
disabilities, both children and adults.
